Around Barneveld
Today a training day for the Four Day Marches, 20+ is the plan, and we end up with just a little over the planned distance. The overcast sky was short lived, the sun took over, making it even more enjoyable to be outdoors. The route is based on a route we did last year, at that time we started from Norschoten, the care home where mom was.
When we were walking on the bike-lane in the direction of the Schaffelaarsebos, we saw a hiker coming our way, and his pace was pretty good, so for us he was training for the Four Day Marches too. Bet he was! It was Wim Bos! Of course we chatted for a while after shaking hands. Wim told us he is training for the "Elfstedentocht" for walkers, at Easter he and his brother Henry will walk the 200 km in five days.
After crossing the woods, we left the planned route - because I was not paying attention - and when we found out we missed it we decided to change the route a little.
All in all a great route with even better weather.
