Betuwe Blossom

With the sun high in the blue sky the trees also know that spring is progressing. The fruit trees in the Betuwe are showing off their blossom, there is no way around it.

That's why today we did the best "Klompenpad" we know, the Batauwepad. We did this walk before, that time it was in the drizzling rain. Now it was in bright spring sunshine.

Many of the fruit trees are in full blossom, some were just starting to show green, but all in all it was great to walk that route again. We were not the only ones that had the idea, every now and then we met other hikers doing the same route, but in the opposite direction.

The route is, as you can see in the Strava map, along pools as well. The water birds were building their nests, soon to be the home for new chicks. Even the storks were collecting materials to build their nests high on the poles.

This stork must enjoy the viewpoint with this sunny weather.
