Almost...

Yes, almost! Almost killed by a shovel truck. The driver did not even check for traffic when he came onto the road... it was a brake test, a successful test. Luckily the brakes worked fine. Still don't know how I could avoid to be hit by the shovel truck, but I did. The guy looked at me, blushed and continued as if nothing happened. Well, in a way he was right, nothing happened.

Ah, in all excitement I did not even say why I was on the road, that I was on the bike, the Scott and that I was in De Glind. The weather was really very nice, started with 20 °C and it cooled down to 15 °C. The weather was perfect for shorts. Love shorts, show off, though am missing any tan...

The statistics for today's ride can are not fantastic. It was hard to keep my pace, started with a terrible headache, though the headache was gone after I was almost hit by the shovel truck. Guess the adrenaline pushed it away. Fact is that the average power was 149 Watt over the 42.6 km.
