ReLive is what I like

You have seen that quite some posts have a video attached by ReLive. You really have to check out ReLive if you are a Strava user! When you are not using Strava, then start using it. That is, if you want to have these cool videos too. In case you mind, it is free; both Strava and ReLive.

I am not going to describe how you have to use either product, there is enough to find about this on the web. All I have here is a few tips.

ReLive for run or walk

Relive is not creating videos of all your Strava activities, in fact, only when it is a ride. So, if you want to have a ReLive video of your hike or run, then you have to make sure that it is in Strava as a ride, once it is picked up by ReLive you can change the Strava activity to a walk or run.

ReLive Name of the video

The activity description is used by ReLive as the name, the name that is shown in the video. So make sure to give the activity a proper name as soon as it ends, otherwise it will end up as "Afternoon ride" or something alike.

Download the video file

All you get from ReLive is a link to the video they generated. If you want to download the video (MP4) file, then you have to take the name from the ReLive page and use that to download the file. Follow these steps:

1. Open the ReLive page by starting it from the email you received from them after the video is generated

2. Open the Page Source (right-click in the browser next to the ReLive window and select View page source)

3. Locate the line that looks like the one below and copy the part that is red in the example:

<meta property="og:video:secure_url" content="https://video.relive.cc/strava_12345_12345.mp4?x-ref=og">

4. Open a new tab in your browser and paste what you just copied and press enter to open it

5. Right click on the video that is playing and select Save video as... and then save the file where you want

More tips on how to use some of my favorite training apps will follow.
